85.5% completed

Well, this is really really almost completed...After gathering some valuable comments from both of Ahteh's and Ahbee's I changed a little bit of the background and I adjusted some of the font. Here is my work...pls comment...I thank you all in advance..

Step by step

Well, this is my step by step process when I am creating my E-wallpaper.Firstly, I open the image of a building...

After that I crop the and move to another layer because I want it to look bigger when you stand in front of the building. Also,I made the colour to look white onli in this stage.

Next, I adjusted the building in order to look contrast by lowering down the opacity and adding some contrast.

Now, I cropped the image of the clouds.

In here, I try to make the clouds look more brighten by using the changing the layer to 'Pin Light' and I added all the mmu logo and inserted the text.

Lastly, I added one more small box at the bottom of left hand side by clicking on the rectangular tool and draw a square on it. After that, choose the colour that suit the image. Then, put in the text.

80.1% e-wallpaper

Well, this is my 80.1% e-wallpaper completed. After commenting by Dr. Ken and his assistant's for my previous e-wallpaper I decided to redo again. This is because I imagined that they are my client. My client did not satisfy with my the product so I need to redo again. Anyways, I really really really need to thank them for giving me so much of valuable comments. Besides, I need to thank Ah teh who is my leader again because he showed me alot lots lots of method and idea on how to make it looks perfect. Well, basically I just used back all the same materials except I eliminated some unneccessary stuff. I think that the most simplest one is the best one.So, everything back to basic. Of course, I still hope that everybody can comment on this wallpaper so that I can make the last modification in order to get the maximum marks.hehe...I would like to thank in advance for the valuable comments.

Progress for MMU-FOM Open Day...

My work almost 70% completed....Recently, I was too busy until no time to update my progress for my work.....I was having the same problem with Jasmin that forget to 'Print Screen' for almost every picture that I edited. Eventually, I need to redo the process all over again...Sigh....Anyways, thank God I still able to complete it but not fully because I still think that if compared with Fyza and Hsien Ming, my wallpaper totally unacceptable...hehe...Well, I plan to get some advice from Dr.Ken Neo or Mdm.Lydia hopefully can make my wallpaper looks more attractive
..........................................................................................................................................................................
My references:

-MMU Grandhall-

-E- Bee-

-Students sitting on the grass-

-Vast green field-

-MMU Logo- ..........................................................................................................................................................................

My Work Progress
-I took some of the image from references and do modification to it..
- For instance, I crop the image of a vast green field just the only the grass for use.
- Then, I tried to make the grass colour to be more brighter because it will seems more attractive in the front view.
- After that I used the lasso tool to draw some lines on the top of the building.
-Then I used a colour of 10% gray to colour the sky and looks more brighter.
- I crop the image of the students studying on the grass and make it overlay to the image of grass. The reason I do this because I want to show that the university is the best place for the students to study because of the beautiful environment.
-Next, the e-bee which I've imported from the Google Image Search and I cropped it.
-Then,the MMU logo I decided to put on top of the wallpaper because as a reader first of all I will definitely think the university name.
-After that, the name of 'Faculty of Management' on top of the building is taught by Kak Nor saying that it will look pretty good if there is something of top of it. Of course, I did some modification to it in order to look more different from far angle.

Preliminary finding for Final Project

Well, time is passing so fast. I have been 'crazying' for finding about my topic "FOOD".Here's my some finding of my topic with the description.Actually, I have done a week ago just because I was not sure whether I need to post it into my blog. I had already send it to my leader. I still have no confidence for this subject maybe my talent is not in this field. Anyhow, I will work very hard to achieve A for this subject although it's a bit impossible....hehe...Against the odds..I think should be alright.hehee......Well, here is my finding.Have a look on it.
Satay or sate is a dish consisting of diced or sliced chicken, goat, mutton, beef, pork or fish; the more authentic version uses skewers from the midrib of the coconut leaf, although bamboo skewers are often used. These are grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with various spicy seasonings.
Satay may have originated in
Java, Indonesia, but it is also popular in many other Southeast Asian countries, such as: Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam as well as in The Netherlands which was influenced through its former colonies.
Satay is a very popular delicacy in Indonesia and Malaysia; Indonesia’s diverse ethnic groups’ culinary art (see
Cuisine of Indonesia) have produced a wide variety of satays. In Indonesia, satay can be obtained from a travelling satay vendor, from a street-side tent-restaurant, in an upper-class restaurant, or during traditional celebration feasts. In Malaysia, satay is a popular dish - especially during celebrations - and can be found throughout the country. A close analogue in Japan is yakitori. shish kebab from Turkey, chuanr from China and sosatie from South Africa are also similar to satay.
It may be served with a
spicy peanut sauce dip, or peanut gravy, slivers of onions and cucumbers, and ketupat (rice cakes).
Nasi lemak is a dish sold in Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Southern Thailand. In Kuala Lumpur, it is called the national dish, a national heritage of Malaysia. The version sold in the east coast of Malaysia, Terengganu and Kelantan is called Nasi Dagang although both dishes can usually be found sold side by side for breakfast. There is a similar dish in Indonesia called nasi uduk.
With roots in Malay culture, its name is a Malay word that literally means 'rice in cream'. The name is derived from the cooking process whereby rice is soaked in coconut cream and then the mixture steamed. Sometimes knotted screwpine (pandan) leaves are thrown into the rice while steaming to give it more fragrance. Spices such as ginger (common in Malay cuisine) and occasionally herbs like lemon grass may be added for additional fragrance.
Traditionally, this comes as a platter with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, stir fried water convolvulus (kangkong), hard boiled egg, pickled vegetables (achar) and hot spicy sauce (sambal). Nasi lemak can also come with any other accompaniments such as chicken, cuttlefish, cockle, beef curry (beef stewed in coconut milk and spices) or paru (beef lungs). Traditionally most of these accompaniments are spicy in nature.
Nasi Lemak is widely eaten in Malaysia, even as a dish served in Malaysian schools. Nasi lemak is a breakfast dish, sold early in the morning at roadside stalls in Malaysia, where it is often sold packed in newspaper, brown paper or banana leaf. However, there are restaurants which serve it on a plate as noon or evening meals, making it possible for the dish to be treated as a delicacy. Nasi lemak panas which means hot nasi lemak is another name given to nasi lemak served with hot cooked rice.
Rojak is a fruit and vegetable salad dish commonly found in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia (where it is called Rujak). The term "Rojak" is Malay for mixture, is also used as a colloquial expression for an eclectic mix, and in particular is often used to describe the multi-ethnic character of Malaysian and Singaporean society.
In Indonesia, especially among Javanese, rojak is an essential part of the traditional prenatal ceremony called "Tujuh Bulanan" (literally: seventh month). Special fruit rojak is made for this occasion, and later served to the mother to be and her guests (mostly her female friends). It is widely known that the sweet, spicy and sour tastes of rojak are adored by pregnant women. The recipe of rojak for this ceremony is similar to typical Indonesian fruit rujak, with the exceptions that the fruits are roughly shredded instead of thinly sliced, and the pomelo/pink grapefruit is an essential ingredient. It is believed that if the rojak overall tastes sweet, the unborn would be a girl, and if it is spicy, the unborn baby is a boy.

Char kway teow, literally "fried flat noodles", is a popular noodle dish in Malaysia and Singapore. The dish is made from flat rice noodles of width approximately 1 cm or slightly narrower, stir fried over very high heat with light and dark soy sauce, chilli, prawns, cockles, egg, bean sprouts and Chinese chives. Variants may include serving the dish with slices of Chinese sausage and fish cakes is added. It is fried in pork fat, with crisp croutons of pork lard, giving it a characteristic taste.
Char kway teow has a reputation of being unhealthy due to its high saturated fat content. However, when the dish was first invented, it was mainly served to labourers. The high fat content and low cost of the dish made it attractive to these people as it was a cheap source of energy and nutrients. When the dish was first served, it was often sold by fishermen, farmers and cockle-gatherers who doubled as char kway teow sellers in the evening to supplement their income.

Mee rebus (literally boiled noodles in English) is a Malay inspired noodle dish. It is most popular in Indonesia where it is called Mi Celor, Malaysia and Singapore.
The dish is made of yellow egg noodles, which are also used in Hokkien mee, with a spicy slightly sweet curry-like gravy. The gravy is made from potatoes, curry powder, water, salted soya beans, dried shrimps, and peanuts. The dish is garnished with a hard boiled egg, calamansi limes, spring onions, Chinese celery, green chillies, fried firm tofu (tau kwa), fried shallots and bean sprouts. Some eateries serve it with beef, though rarely found in hawker centres, or add dark soya sauce to the noodles when served. The dish also goes well with satay.
In the past, mee rebus was sold by mobile hawkers who carried two baskets over a pole. One basket contained a stove and a pot of boiling water, and the other the ingredients for the dish.
Dim sum (literally meaning "touch the heart") is the name for a Chinese cuisine which involves a wide range of light dishes served alongside Chinese tea. It is usually served in the mornings until noon time at Chinese restaurants and at specialty dim sum eateries where typical dishes are available throughout the day. Dishes come in small portions and may include meat, seafood, and vegetables, as well as desserts and fruit. The items are usually served in a small steamer basket or on a small plate. Yum cha (literally "tea drinking") is the term used to describe the dining session, especially in contemporary Cantonese. Chinese families in particular typically like to gather at Chinese restaurants for dim sum on special occasions such as Mother’s Day or Chinese New Year.
Well, this is just part of it due to my computer slow I only able to upload here..So the next time I will try to upload some more..
Cheers,
Issac

Project Charter e-wallpaper

Assignment Title : e-Wallpaper-FOM

Open DayProject Start Date : 11 February, 2009

Project Finish Date : 11 March, 2009.

Project Manager : Liew Weng Hooi

Email : issacvalentine@yahoo.com

Website : http://liewwenghooi1061107635.blogspot.com

Project Objective:

To learn the skills of using multimedia tools in Adobe Photoshop CS2 by creating a e-Wallpaper for Multimedia University,Faculty of Management(FOM) Open Day dated 21st March 2009. In this wallpaper,I will be promoting FOM to the public and giving them some ideas of joining FOM in future.

Approach:

The first step I was sketching my idea on a piece of paper. After brainstorming for couple of hours finally the idea came across my mind.I was visualised the MMU GrandHall will be the main building to signify mmu pride. Then I imported some of the picture from Google, for instance, the vast green land because I want to make the floor full with green things. The most attractive and give me real attraction is grass. I wanted to make the scene looks like western country university and bring some effect of harmony. The main point in the wallpaper was MMU FOM OPEN DAY dated 21st March 2009 which I will place it at the upper left of the wallpaper. The idea came from several example of other university wallpaper and of course other magazine as well.

For the font,I might be using some extra brushes/vector which may looks attractive to it.The sub-point for the wallpaper was the course that offered by MMU FOM. In this part, I will be including just the main courses offered by the faculty because this is not a prospectus.

In photoshop, I'm using some techniques such as editing the picture in order to look more different with the original one.Of course the e-bee which I will be using it to overlay at the building and looks pretty good of it .

The front layer I will be using white colour. I think that white is more professional compared to other colour. Besides, MMU e-bee and MMU building I think of our university's logo that will grab from MMU site or through Google Image search.

Milestones

16-27 Feb 2009:

During this period, I could described this is my tough time. I shut myself in my room and surfing the internet for an idea how to do my e-Wallpaper as I'm not a gifted student to study about arts.Maybe I have no talent in this area. Anyways, I still find it quite interesting when I was learning how something new. I kept on scratching my head what should I put the theme? After reading some novels and walked around something came accrossed my mind. Finally, I decided to put the theme as "Your One Stop Education Hub,Bridging Your Future With Us". Actually, I have started to my work but I still don't really satisfied with it if really compared to the other senior's works. So in the next class, I have consulted Kak Nur hopefully can give me some idea how to carry on. My sketch almost 50 % done. I still have not post it in my blog because I have not really come to the conclusion part besides I am busying with my other subjects as well.

28 February 2009:

Will be continuing from where I stopped my work and hopefully can finish by 80%.

3-6 March 2009:

During this period, I might be consulting lecturer or tutor hopefully before the due date I can get some advice from them.

7-10 March 2009:Checking for final touch will be done after consult with lec and tutor and hopefully can do the best.

Phew...finally done.

Thinking's Day...

Today 22/2/2009 it's a remembering day of the Father's of Scout. I was thinking for the whole day how to structure my E-Wallpaper and sketch it on a piece of paper. In fact, I don't really creative in designing this stuff. So, I need alot of inspirations from others hopefully from their art work it can inspired me. Actually, I'm still looking at various places and websites hopefully can give me some idea how to sketch it although I still worried on how to use the photoshop. Actually,I have a little bit of idea in my mind. I want to use the white as the background cause its look more professional.Furthermore, I will import the e-bee to become my main mascot because its symbolize mmu pride. Moreover, I will put some students studying scene on the grass showing that mmu is a great place for students to study.I'm still thinking of how to represent each of the courses available in my faculty using other symbol. I tried to avoid using word to describe it because its will look messy and unattractive.
